Concept Map

Picture
After being given some key terms, we were challenged to create a concept map relating those concepts to each other that demonstrated our understandings of how knowledge is created. My map borrows from the mapping done in Research Methodologies (Spring 2013), though I was inspired by several classmates' creative and more abstract concept maps, such as envisioning the creation of knowledge as an act of baking and another seeing school as the train car on the railroad track of education.

In particular, John Dewey's thoughts on education and experience helped me to reconcile some concerns I had had while forming my teaching philosophy.
