Describing the ways that human nature has been theorized and discussed throughout the traditional canon of the history of rhetoric helped me to see myself and my values within the historical context of the field. I am also able to reflect on this piece as an example of the importance of making meso-level connections, in addition to the micro- and macro-level conclusions.
